The Bihar DCECE 2026 admit card will be released on May 20, 2026 at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.
That is 26 days from today. The exam follows just 3 days later — PE on May 23, PM/PMM on May 24. This short gap between admit card release and exam day is exactly why students need to download and verify the admit card the same day it releases — not a day later, not the morning of the exam.
The admit card is not just entry to the exam hall. It is your identity document for the entire DCECE 2026 process — you will need it again during result checking and counselling. Handle it carefully.

How to Download Bihar DCECE 2026 Admit Card
On May 20, 2026, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open https://bceceboard.bihar.gov.in on your browser. Mobile works but desktop or laptop is better for downloading and printing PDFs without formatting issues.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for the link labelled “DCECE 2026 Admit Card” or “Hall Ticket Download — DCECE PE/PMM/PM 2026.” This link only appears after BCECEB officially activates it on May 20. It will be prominently displayed on the homepage — you cannot miss it.
Step 3: Click the admit card link. A login page opens.
Step 4: Enter your login credentials. Two methods work:
Method 1 — Registration Number + Date of Birth:
- Enter your DCECE 2026 application/registration number (given when you submitted your form)
- Enter date of birth in the format shown (DD/MM/YYYY)
- Click Submit
Method 2 — Email ID + Password:
- Enter the email ID you used during registration
- Enter the password you created
- Click Submit
Step 5: Your admit card appears on screen as a PDF. Do not close this window before saving.
Step 6: Click Download or Save. Save the PDF file to your phone — name it clearly so you can find it again.
Step 7: Print at least two copies immediately — one to carry to the exam hall, one kept safely at home.
Step 8: Save a digital backup — email the PDF to yourself and save it in Google Drive or WhatsApp Saved Messages. The exam is only 3 days after the admit card releases. Having a backup prevents any last-minute crisis.
If You Forgot Your Registration Number or Password
Forgot registration number: Check your registered email inbox. BCECEB sends a confirmation email when you submitted your application — it contains your application/registration number. Search for “DCECE 2026” or “BCECEB” in your email.
Forgot password: Go to bceceboard.bihar.gov.in → click the admit card link → look for “Forgot Password” on the login page. Enter your registered email ID and follow the OTP-based reset process.
Email access lost: If you no longer have access to the email you registered with, visit the BCECEB helpdesk in person at their office near Patna Airport with your Aadhaar card and a printout of your application confirmation page.
BCECEB helpline number: 0612-2220230 BCECEB email: bceceboard.bihar@gmail.com
Contact them on May 20 itself if any login issue arises — do not wait until May 22.
What to Check Immediately After Downloading
The admit card becomes your official identity for the exam. Any error on it creates problems at the exam centre. Check every field the same day you download:
| Detail | How to Verify |
|---|---|
| Your full name | Match letter-by-letter with your Class 10 certificate |
| Father’s name | Match with application form |
| Date of birth | Must match exactly — even one digit wrong causes entry refusal |
| Roll number | Note this carefully — needed for result checking |
| Registration number | Cross-check with your application confirmation |
| Exam group | PE (Engineering) or PM/PMM (Paramedical) — check you got the right one |
| Exam date | PE = May 23 |
| Exam time | Confirm the reporting time and exam start time |
| Exam centre name | Full name and address |
| Exam centre address | Search on Google Maps immediately — plan your travel |
| Your photograph | Must be clearly visible and recognisable |
| Your signature | Must be visible |
| Category | General/OBC/SC/ST/EWS — must match your application |
If anything is wrong: Do not go to the exam with an incorrect admit card. Contact BCECEB helpline at 0612-2220230 on May 20 itself. For physical corrections, visit the Board office near Patna Airport with your Aadhaar card and application confirmation. Corrections must be completed before May 23.
What to Carry on May 23 (PE Exam Day)
Mandatory — no entry without both:
- Printed Bihar DCECE 2026 admit card — physical hard copy only. Phone screenshots are not accepted at Bihar exam centres. Printed copy is mandatory.
- Original photo ID — Aadhaar card is the most commonly accepted. School/college ID or Voter ID also works. Photocopy or digital copy not accepted — original only.
Permitted inside exam hall:
- Blue or black ballpoint pen (carry two — one as spare)
- Transparent water bottle (no label)
What is NOT permitted — leave outside:
- Mobile phone — any phone found inside the exam hall results in immediate cancellation of candidature. No exceptions. No warnings. Leave your phone outside or in a bag that stays outside the hall.
- Smart watch, digital watch, or any watch with calculator functions
- Calculator of any kind
- Bluetooth earphones or any electronic device
- Study notes, textbooks, printed formula sheets
- Wallet with thick cards — carry only what you need
Bihar DCECE 2026 — Exam Day Instructions
Reporting time: Reach the exam centre at least 1 hour before the exam starts — or earlier if your centre is in a busy location like Patna. Bihar DCECE exam centres have biometric registration for large batches of candidates. Arriving with only 15–20 minutes to spare means joining a long queue which increases anxiety and reduces preparation time.
What happens at the centre:
- Queue at the entry gate — show your admit card and photo ID
- Frisking for mobile phones and electronic devices
- Biometric verification (fingerprint) at several centres
- Assigned to your specific room and seat
- Roll number called, you sit, exam paper distributed
Inside the exam hall:
- The question paper is in Hindi and English — both languages on the same paper
- You get rough sheets for calculation — use them freely
- 90 MCQs, 4 options each, mark answers on OMR sheet
- Negative marking applies — +5 correct, −1 wrong, 0 blank
- Time: 135 minutes — 2 hours 15 minutes
- Do not attempt questions you are genuinely unsure about — the −1 penalty accumulates
OMR filling rules:
- Use blue or black ballpoint pen only — not pencil
- Fill the bubble completely and darkly
- Do not use whitener or correction fluid on OMR
- Fill roll number and other details carefully at the top of OMR before starting questions
- Do not fold or tear the OMR sheet
When time is called: Stop writing immediately. Do not try to mark any last-second answers — invigilators note this and it can cause your paper to be cancelled.
Important: Keep the Admit Card After the Exam
Many students make the mistake of discarding their admit card after the exam. Do not do this.
The DCECE 2026 admit card is required for:
- Checking result — some portals ask for roll number printed on admit card
- Counselling registration — proof of having appeared for the exam
- Certificate verification at colleges — your roll number and registration details are on the admit card
- Dispute resolution — if any issue arises with your result or allotment, the admit card is primary evidence
Keep both your printed copies and the digital PDF throughout the entire admission cycle — until you have physically joined your polytechnic college.
About the Exam — Key Facts to Remember
For PE (Engineering diploma):
Subject distribution:
| Subject | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Mathematics | 45 | 225 |
| Physics | 30 | 150 |
| Chemistry | 15 | 75 |
| Total | 90 | 450 |
Marking scheme:
- Correct answer: +5 marks
- Wrong answer: −1 mark (negative marking applies)
- Unattempted/blank: 0 marks
Strategy reminder: With negative marking, do not guess blindly. If you can eliminate at least two options with confidence, attempt the question. If you have no idea and cannot eliminate any option, leave it blank — 0 is better than −1.
Mathematics carries 50% of marks (225 out of 450). Your Maths performance almost entirely determines your rank. In the remaining days between now and May 23, prioritise Maths above all else.

Frequently Asked Questions
Bihar DCECE 2026 admit card kab aayega?
20 May 2026 ko bceceboard.bihar.gov.in par release hoga. Yeh officially BCECEB ne confirm kiya hai. Usi din download karo — exam sirf 3 din baad hai aur agar koi galti ho toh sudharne ka waqt bahut kam hoga.
Admit card download karne ke liye kya chahiye?
Do tarike hain: (1) Registration Number + Date of Birth, ya (2) Registered Email ID + Password. Dono official BCECEB ke confirmed methods hain. Agar registration number bhool gaye ho toh apna confirmation email check karo.
Kya mobile phone se admit card download ho sakta hai?
Download toh ho sakta hai — lekin printing ke liye computer ya laptop better hai. Print karna mandatory hai — mobile screenshot nahi chalega exam hall mein. Kisi cyber cafe ya friend ke ghar se print karwa lo agar printer nahi hai.
Admit card mein naam galat hai — kya karein?
Same day contact karo — 0612-2220230 par BCECEB helpline. Physical correction ke liye Patna Airport ke paas BCECEB office jaana padega Aadhaar card aur application confirmation ke saath. Exam se pehle correct karo — exam day par kuch nahi hoga.
PE aur PM/PMM ka admit card alag hoga?
Haan — PE (Engineering) ka exam 23 May ko hai aur PM/PMM (Paramedical) ka 24 May ko. Dono ke liye alag admit card hoga. Agar tumne dono groups ke liye apply kiya tha toh dono download karo.
Admit card exam ke baad bhi kaam aayega?
Haan — result check karne mein, counselling registration mein, aur document verification mein. Exam ke baad bhi rakhna. Kabhi mat phenко.
Kya photo ID ke bina exam centre mein entry milegi?
Nahi — bilkul nahi. Admit card ke saath original photo ID mandatory hai. Aadhaar card sabse common acceptable ID hai. School ID bhi chalti hai. Photocopy ya digital copy nahi chalega — original leke jaana.
May 20 — admit card. May 23 — exam hall. These two dates are what matter now.
Download the admit card the moment bceceboard.bihar.gov.in activates the link on May 20. Verify every detail the same day. Look up your exam centre on Google Maps. Print two copies.
Then use the 3 days between May 20 and May 23 for final Mathematics revision — specifically Quadratic Equations, Algebra, and Electricity which together account for nearly 30% of the total marks.
